Hi guys,
I’m planning to buy a second-hand Royal Enfield — mainly looking at Classic 500 or Classic 350 (2020 UCE EFI). My brother owns a Classic 500 and I really love that raw, old-school Bullet feel.
Looking to buy from Bengaluru / Chennai / Coimbatore.
Prices I’m seeing are around ₹1L–₹2L.
I also have an option for Classic 350 BS4 carb model, so need clarity on that too.
I recently tried the new Scram 440, and it felt really good. I also tried the Classic Reborn — it’s smooth and refined, but I felt that OG thump/character is missing. I see many people achieving that sound by modifying the silencer.
(Used AI to structure my questions better so I don’t miss anything 😅)
🔧 General
Is it a good idea to buy these bikes in 2026?
Are they still practical or more for enthusiasts now?
⛽ Fuel (E20 concerns)
Any issues with E20 fuel in:
Classic 500
UCE 350 (EFI)
BS4 carb models
Any long-term impact or precautions?
🧰 Maintenance & parts
Spare parts availability in 2026?
Any expensive or hard-to-find parts?
Typical maintenance cost?
🧱 Known issues
Common problems (fuel pump, electricals, chassis, etc.)?
What should I be careful about before buying?
🔊 Silencer / OG feel doubt
Many people modify the silencer to get that OG thump:
Is this legal in India?
Is it insurance-friendly?
Any safe/legal way to get better sound?
🆚 Which one should I choose?
Classic 500
Classic 350 (2020 UCE EFI)
Classic 350 BS4 carb
Classic 350 Reborn
Which makes more sense today for long-term ownership?
🧠 Expectation
I want that OG Bullet feel, but don’t want frequent breakdowns or constant service visits.
Would you suggest going ahead or skipping these options?
Thanks 🙏
