What can I do to help this poor baby

Vet Info : It's a stray and I can't afford a vet
Main issue : She is a stray that we feed. We can't afford to take her to the vet, but we feel so bad for this poor girl. We have no idea what has happened to her. She already had this wound when she first showed up. I've personally been staying here for a month and while it doesn't seem to be getting worse it is also not getting any better. Any advice would be appreciated, maybe someone has seen this kind of issue before. She's a good cat and I want to help as much as I can.

Edit : I appreciate all the concern and advice. I'm gonna go to a store and see what kinds of antibiotic sprays I can find and give her a good cleaning then wrap it up in gauze. Hopefully that will keep her from scratching it and it can heal.
If that fails then I will turn her over to a rescue group. Our area is overloaded with strays and we only have 1 local shelter. I believe they would end up putting her down and that is my absolute last option. If she can be treated and have a normal life then I would much rather go that route.
The overwhelming support for this baby warms my heart, but I don't think I'll have time to respond to everyone. I am reading all comments and listening tho, I promise that.
