Throwaway account.
I work as a property manager for an organisation. I stay in the city one or two nights a week. Then work from home.
When we have a vacant property I stay there. Otherwise it’s up to me to get a hotel.
The last few months I have been staying in a vacant house which will be occupied soon by a permanent employee of the organisation.

Enjoy my time away from my family and maybe have a few drinks and relax.
Well. Last week I had a lot of wine to drink and got a spicy food delivery.
Next morning I woke up. Hungover as fuck. And did my usual check up of the house before I left.
As it is common for my boss or the new lady who will love here to come and drop some things off.
I cleaned up my wine bottles. Any evidence that I was smoking outside and leave the places clean as I can. Because I’m a nice human.
Fast forward a week. I get back late and stay at the house. I bring in my stuff and get a bad smell.
I check the house and in the downstairs toilet there is the worst case of explosive diarrhoea I have ever seen. Like the toilet is full of shit and toilet paper.
I start to freak out and realise that there are new things in the house that weren’t there last time I was here.
Some was in the house since I left.
The toilet door opens onto the main kitchen living space. And the door is wide open.
All I can figure was I got very drunk. Took a massive shit. And was too drink to flush the toilet and went to bed.
I’m back here again. Avoided my boss today. But need to see her tomorrow.
What the fuck am I supposed to say ?
The people I work for are very conservative elderly and clean freaks.
Today I cleaned up the mess. Cleaned the rest of the house. And it now smells like a flower shop.
Apart from me the only people with keys are the pest control guys who call every so often.
I have considered blaming them. But I wouldn’t be able to do that as I have a conscious!
Other options are just keeping quiet and seeing if it gets brought up.
Or bringing it up and saying there was a major sewage issue which I was trying to resolve
Any suggestions welcome. I’m dying or embarrassments.
It’s not a sackable offence. But obviously not something that I would have liked to have happen.
