I’m a college student and I just got an internship for the summer, which I’m really excited about. The problem is that it has mandatory online meetings Monday to Friday 11am-4pm, and it conflicts with the summer classes I’m already registered for (second session starting in July).
The classes I signed up for also have required live online meetings, so I don’t think I’ll be able to attend them consistently. I’m planning to email my professors to ask if there’s any flexibility or asynchronous options, but I’m not sure how likely that is.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would you recommend trying to work something out with the professor, switching to different courses, or just dropping the classes and focusing on the internship?
I don’t want to fall behind academically, but I also don’t want to miss out on a good internship opportunity.
