Here it goes, I’m a 42A with about 6 1/2 years of combat engineering experience prior (was in a rut in my career). I thought the grass was going to be greener on the other side but nope just shot myself in the foot. Office life is just a soulless beast and I absolutely despise it, definitely not for me. I went to the retention NCO and they said I have to do a 4187 and get permission from both proponents to switch back and it’s tricky because both MOS’s are balanced. How daunting of a task is this?
