Reading about a load of people who couldn't get a steam controller because of the page erroring out. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks the steam machine will be much harder to get when it does launch. Any tips for increasing the odds we'll actually get one?

I've seen a couple of bits that may or may not help -

1. Apparently the steam controller launched a few minutes early? So I guess get online early and start smashing that refresh button.

2. I saw a couple of posts talking about preloading your steam wallet with the credit so you don't need to load an extra page for the payment to go through. No idea if this was effective for the steam controller though.

3. Does it help to have multiple devices trying to order one at once?

Have valve ever mentioned anywhere if the steam machine comes with the steam controller like a regular console would? I'd quite like to buy a steam controller in case they sell out, but would have no need for two!
