Hey guys,
I’ve been looking at this Trek Session C 29 frameset and noticed it’s currently going for around $1800, down from like $4400, which seems kinda wild.
From what I can tell, this frame has been around since 2019 and hasn’t really changed much over the years (same carbon frame, 190mm travel, etc.)
So I’m wondering:
- Is this still considered a solid DH frame by today’s standards?
- Is the big discount just because it’s an older platform?
- Or is there something I’m missing (geometry outdated, known issues, etc)?
- Also kinda weird that it’s been discounted for so long and still in stock… red flag or just low demand?
I ride DH mainly and I’m looking to build up a bike from a frameset, so this caught my eye hard.
Would you guys send it, or look for something newer?
