Opnsense goes offline mysteriously
I'm running a dell optiplex 5070 micro with an i225 plugged into the wifi (a+e) slot. WAN is on the onboard port, em0, and I have 5 or 6 vlans on the igc0 port. I switched to this device because I had been running an Optiplex 9010 sff with a quad-port broadcom card. It worked great, trouble-free for years, but was consuming 35-40W at idle.
I can pinpoint the moment when it goes offline, because the logs indicate a failure to send logs to my graylog instance on a VM. I can't see anything else in the logs leading up to the crash. The only errors in the log more sever than "Notice" are the syslog-ng errors where it can no longer talk to the network.
I've read about buggy igc drivers, but it seems like the problems are mainly surrounding LACP. I've also read that these v-pro equipped onboard lan adapters can be problematic. Where's a good place to start digging?
