[Help] Going to Physics from Engineering w/ Gap

I completed my bachelors in mechanical engineering in 2019. I have the opportunity to pursue a higher level technical degree via my employer. Physics was always my passion subject and I plan to put my “higher degree” credit toward that. I was hoping to get some insight into that areas I should focus on before starting the degree; likely in spring of 2027. Considering the long break and shift toward physics, I expect some difficulties but I’m not exactly sure as to where.

I plan to dust off my PDE and linear algebra textbooks as well as study for the Physics BUT are there any other areas I should really hone in on? Are there any major weak point I may struggle with, either due to the gap or change in subject? I would really appreciate any feedback.
