I purchased and installed 435, eighteen foot by 8” ACRE semi-synthetic boards from Modern Mill, Inc on a new building. The company claims these boards only shrink/expand no more than 2mm or 1/16’ longitudinally over 18ft. Dozens of these boards, installed according to the directions provided by Modern Mill, Inc, onsite (Jim Detweiller), shrunk at least 3/4’, some 1”, over lengths as short as 5’, leaving enormous gaps all over both sides of this new building. Modern Mill has sent employees out onsite four separate times and has dishonestly (absurd inaccurate dishonest reasons, e.g., mixing reflective compliant paint, which did not happen at all) provided reasons why they would not honor their warranty. I have these communications in writing. I now have a DISASTER on my hands and Modern Mill refuses to honor their warranty.
