I'm a rising senior at a fork in the round in my pathway between applying for a business major and an engineering major.

Originally I would want to go into Industrial or Systems Engineering, but I've heard that those fields are largely unsuccesful unless you do a more traditional major before, like mechanical or electrical.

Thats where the problem comes from, because I struggle deeply in math and on paper I seem better for business. But I'm also worried about doing a business major because of the same priniciple earlier, that I should major in a traditional stem subject and get an MBA or something afterwards.

I really want to go to UT but I'd take A&M, and I've also heard that UT business is harder than engineering and vice versa for A&M.

My Unweighted GPA is about a 3.4 and my Weighted is around 4.5 (But grade inflation is really bad at my school + I'm not ranked)

my SAT is a 1340 but i'm studying to take it again in the summer.

I've demonstrated a lot of leadership and team management through debate and qualified for TFA state this year and BPA state last year, I've gotten a few marketing internships, and I've taken the PLTW engineering pathway and made/am making multiple 2 projects to put on my app.

So what should I do and what fears that I have are slightly overblown or irrational?

Additionally I need to choose by this month, as I need to decide whether to drop AP Physics (And maybe help my gpa from plummeting), or stay in it if I decide to pursue engineering.
