I have an interview in a couple of weeks for what is essentially my dream job. The problem is I am living in another state and will be for the next year because of my SO’s career. Living separately for a year isn’t an option since we have a young child.

I have a feeling this employer is not very pro-remote but I’ll need that or at least a generous hybrid situation for a year. Thankfully it is a large employer that has the tech infrastructure for it, I just doubt that the legal department works remotely very often.

Has anyone been able to successfully convince a potential employer to let them be remote for a year?
