Hi there,
As the title suggests, I'm just gauging interest in a club/society for a Shogi club - now what is shogi? It's Japanese chess played on a 9x9 board, with the main gimmick being that you can bring back (called a drop) pieces that you've captured!
Club meetings would probably consist of a tactic/opening lesson followed by time to play freely against other club members.
Has there ever been a shogi club in UNSW in the past? & Even if the club doesn't come to be, if anyone else is interested in getting together unofficially to play shogi I'm up for that too.
