The sad part is that I'm not even upset anymore. It's just apathy. The supporter inside me wants to be angry, wants to be upset, but I just can't. It's just "Oh, we lost to Richmond? Yeah, that sounds like something we'd do". It's that kind of feeling.
It's pretty clear that the playing group is mentally broken. Self-Confidence and Self-Belief is through the floor, and that's not something the coach can fix. The players themselves need to fix it. Mini can push whatever message he wants, if the players don't have the confidence or the belief that they can execute, none of it matters.
So where do we go from here? Very simply, the players need to make a choice. Do they want to be here? If not- fine. We'll facilitate trades at the end of the year. But if they do, then they need to step up and perform.
2026 is gone now. We won't win a game for the rest of the year. Essendon will beat us, North will beat us, Carlton will beat us. All the teams that we should at least be a 50/50 chance against will beat us.
