Hello! I’m traveling to Rome (FCO) soon and wanted to gather information on the best way to get to our hotel in Trastevere (near the train station). We’re 3 people, with 1 large luggage and 1 hand carry each. The amount and size of luggage is non-negotiable.

Options I’m assessing and would like opinions on:

(1) FL1 Train: My worry was on the luggage (space, safety, mobility).

(2) Taxi: I’ve seen that it’s a flat rate €55 to Rome city (within Aurelian walls). I believe our hotel sits just outside it, so my best estimate is the flat rate €50 to Ostiense Station. However, again my worry was on the luggage (if taxis at the stand are big enough).

(5) Taxi App: I’ve also considered FreeNow because people say it has the option of the assured rate, but I’m worried about getting scammed in the cab.

(4) Private Transfer: Hoping to get inputs on reputable transfer services that will be relatively on par in pricing as the taxi flat rates.

Thanks in advance for sharing your recommendations and advice!
