Darkside Records is legit. I got the version with H.I.R.O Smiling! That’s my favorite version of this cover!
I got The Magician, The High Priestess, and Temperance for the tarot cards. As long as I got Mimi, I would have been happy. Anyone wanting to trade High Priestess for H.I.R.O, let me know. We can work something out. Straight trade across. I didn’t like Temperance as much, but it grew on me. It’s so cool to have one of my own. And the CWHOS black strip is more of a thin band that slips on and off, so you can still easily have it to display with the album after opening it.
I have cats and don’t want to get it all cat dandered, so I’m just peeking in the slip. But it looks so cool in person.
It’s like a flat new fancy bowling ball. The way it’s colored. So cool.
I was worried that I would open the plastic wrap and it was just going to be a length of paper that would forever be separated from the album packaging.
I’m so excited to see where the story goes from here, and what awesome new music its set to.
I don’t like seeing H.I.R.O with Xs over their eyes, and even less so when they’re sad.
I’m just really glad I got the smiling variant.
This turned out better than I expected.
Oddly, both of my records were purchased from the East Coast despite me having local record stores. I always have work or responsibilities during their releases, so I haven’t had the opportunity to support my local shops for these releases yet.
But all two “local” stores were sold out of EVERYTHING Good Kid, and many other RSD releases, so, I think they’re doing just fine.
If I fall into an obsession with another band, I’ll scoop some of their vinyls from a local store. But for now, It’s all Good Kid. Let me know any similar bands or groups that have similar vibes. I really dig it.

I’ve got to ask Darkside Records if they keep all the stuff with it after they open it so it doesn’t get snubbed on the edges, or the packaging deformed in any way during shipping. Because it might not be a huge thing, but things will get worn and scuffed and banged up over time anyway. I just would like it to be as nice as possible for at least a little while before I open it.
There is a tiny bit of scrunching right on the top corner of the spine right where the band name is, and I can’t help but wonder if that could have been avoided if I just let them open it before shipping 🤔. I am beyond stoked to have this. This is the second album I’ve gotten from Good Kid, and they’ve both been RSD releases.
