There is something deeply satisfying about taking a poorly functioning '47 Argentine Sistema and giving it the full Nighthawk treatment. It went in as a 'maybe one day' project and came back as a 'don't you dare scratch the Smoky Nitride' masterpiece.
It's tighter than a vault door now, but the soul is still there—especially since the original barrel is still outperforming most of my modern builds. Getting a one-hole test target back on a barrel that’s seen nearly 80 years of history is a flex I wasn't expecting. Worth every penny to save and enjoy a piece of history.
It’s officially the best-shooting 'old' gun I own.
Nighthawk even showcased this on their IG and Facebook sites.
