We know he was pretty rough in the first two series of the year, but that's only 7 games. With April well behind us and into May, let's check in on Julio.
Starting with April 1, so dropping the first 6 games of the season and beginning with the last game of the Yankees series, Julio is hitting .289/.345/.461 for a 131 wRC+ and a .341 xwOBA.
Not MVP level, but certainly much better than he usually plays in the first 40ish games of a season, and it's setting him up well as the year starts to get warmer and we get nuclear Julio at some point.
