I seen a lot of people making fun of this major and it even became a trend to meme on it mainly because of the ratio of demand is beaten by the supply because of the tech majors popularity, is it really that bad? I'm thinking of taking this major as it offers more opportunities for job hunting but with the rise of AI more doubts on this major or even other tech major became more apparent. I've watched some videos about AI taking over jobs and tech jobs are always on the "in danger" part which is quite obvious since companies are continuously investing more money on AI to advance it's capability in coding. The chances of getting a tech job with the amount of people fighting for a spot and the AI taking over the small parts of the jobs is severely lowered. I live in Philippines and think that the problem of the oversupply is not really in there here because of less people having the privilege of using tech compared to other countries like US, China, Japan. etc. but AI problem is still present. With this in mind is CS a solid major in Philippines?
