Another “Mossad Agent” Executed: The Mizan News Agency, the media outlet of the Islamic Republic’s judiciary, announced that Ehsan Afrashta, a political prisoner, was executed on charges of “espionage and intelligence cooperation for Israel.”
Ehsan, a resident of Isfahan, had a master’s degree in civil engineering and was an expert in networks and information technology. About two years ago, after returning to Iran from Turkey, he was arrested by security forces.
According to reports, he was held for months in an isolated cell in a security detention facility under interrogation and psychological pressure, and was only later transferred to Evin Prison – raising serious concerns that the confessions in the case were extracted under duress, without independent evidence that could be verified.
According to the regime’s version, Ehsan received instructions from the Mossad via email, carried out missions while posing as a taxi driver, knew French, English and Hebrew, and operated under the codename “James.”
