Hello everyone.

My wife's mom wanted to throw away her old tv, Samsung ue55f7000sl, because she was told the main board was dead and she got a new one instead of repairing it. So we took it thinking I could repair hit.

I disconnected the main board and plugged the tv and I could see the screen turning on (no picture because no board).

So I ordered a replacement board.

But after installing it, the same thing is happening again. With the board connected to the power board, the tv doesn't turn on. If I disconnect it I can the the screen getting bright when the power cord is connected. As soon as I connect the main board to the power board the screen goes black again.

My knowledge is very limited with electronics but I don't see any burn mark or failing electronic component on both main boards.

I am looking for a lead to try to repair that tv (ours is very old so a new one for cheap would be great), anyone got any clue to point me in the right direction?

Thanks
