Filament color won't print in multi-color print
I've been doing multi-color prints without any trouble, but wanted to try the full-color options with the ratdoux Snorca. I had magenta filament in head 3, and when it got to where it would be using that, it would give me errors suggesting that the filament was broken in the head or there was some other problem. If I told it to continue, it did so; but the pause always seemed to allow things to cool some, and the frame of what I was printing ended up shifted a bit.
So, I want back to "regular" Orca and tried to work with just four colors. But when it should have been printing magenta from position 3, it continues to print purple from position 2, suggesting that it thinks there is no filament in position 3.
If I print some other model using only color 3, it prints fine. But any multi-color print thinks there's nothing in 3.
So, I moved the magenta to spot 4, and now it won't print magenta from 4 instead. (With spot 3 empty, it printed from position 2 instead.)
I've tried two separate rolls of magenta, one nearly transparent/translucent, and the other much more opaque in its color.
Why won't my U1 print magenta?
I'm using the appimage from https://github.com/ratdoux/OrcaSlicer-FullSpectrum/releases/tag/v0.9.9 on Ubuntu 24.04.
I have a model composed of 9 STL files that have, collectively, been assigned eight colors in Orca — one for the base of the box, and seven other colors assigned to things applied to the box. Two of those colors were added to the list as 2:1 or 3:1 color mixes
When the model rips and I send it to the U1, it appears on the U1's screen as I would expect: in eight colors. However when it prints, it's just the base color with none of the other colors used, and with no prime tower. (There's also no prime tower present on the Preview page in Snorca.)
The STLs were made the same way I've been doing this for four-color printing with Orca (exported one "thing" at a time from OpenSCAD). I then went to "Objects" in Snorca and assigned a color for each. Why am I not getting any colors now in my print?
