4,000rpm & drive system Errors
Curious one, wondered if anyone had any thoughts. I have a 2021 plate Octavia iv, 70k miles, owned it for almost 6 months with no issues. Last night I plugged it in to charge as usual and as I turned away an almighty noise started under the bonnet, like every fan in there started up in a really loud in an ongoing woooooosssshhhhhhh noise. Really loud. I turned on the ignition to see if anything happened and it immediately threw up two errors on the dash: "Maximum engine speed 4,000rpm" and "Error Drive system please visit workshop". I turned it all off, unplugged the charger, locked it, then did it all again and it was fine and appears to have charged ok, but I was a little perturbed for a minute there.
It's going to Skoda on Monday for an MOT and an AC service (as it doesn't really get cold) so I'll ask them about it.
