I need help replacing a return jet and I’m hoping someone here has some experience or advice for this situation.
When I closed my older in-ground pool last winter the old return jet fitting broke. It was probably decades old. So in prep for opening I went and bought new return jets.
Well, nothing is easy. When I took the winter cap off the return, the eyeball inside is too big to come out. The old set up is an internal eyeball and ring. I was able to find the part on Inyo Pools as a spa fitting, but the eyeball in my pool isn’t in the best condition. And I’d rather have a new return jet eyeball and fitting if possible.
Should I just get that part from Inyo Pools (none of my local pool stores have seen this before or carry the part) and carry on or is there a way to remove the eyeball and utilize the new return jet I bought?
Pictures of everything is attached for reference.
