sorry im not sure who to vent to cause I am only just now getting into the strokes and I’m actually stunned with disbelief at how pretty Julian Casablancas used to be. like he was SO beautiful. I’m talking about like 20–25 years ago
was anyone actually there for that? like was this the consensus at the time or am I projecting hard??
cause I feel like part of it is also the whole early 2000s New York indie rock revival thing… like the messy hair, leather jacket, kind of detached/chaotic vibe?? it’s not even just his face, it’s the whole energy
but still. I genuinely cannot tell if he was considered THAT attractive back then or if this is hindsight + nostalgia doing something to my brain
