So, I asked a couple of days ago for printer recommendations, but today i filtered out with local stores for available printers with color inktanks excluding HP. I am deciding between these three. All of them got similar specs.
I´m going to use it to to scan drawings/sketches and other handwritten stuff; print drawings, maps, maybe photos and illustrations for my journals and patterns for sewing, leathercrafting and stuff like that. It´s for home use, i print almost every day, but not in large volumes. I would usually use normal paper, but on occasions i may use photo paper, or heavier types of paper.
The Brother seems to have the best scanner 1200 × 2400 dpi vs 600x1200dpi on epson/canon
On print quality the Epson seems to win:
So, my greatest doubt is regarding the ecosystem and pricing of supplies. Which brand is better for customer support/repairs, availability of spare parts, ease of repairs, etc? Which one has the most user friendly ecosystem? For pricing, depending on ink prices/availability, I would consider using third party inks... So, is this hard for this printers? (I know most of the time they ask for codes and stuff when ink runs out)
Hi everyone. Just joined the sub so I could get some advice.
I want to print documents for my journals. This could be maps, plain text files, mind maps, drawings/sketches,and also photos in glossy paper, but that would be from time to time.
I also want to print patterns for sewing, leathercraft and cosplay armor, so this are big files that should be printed separately and then joined.

I wan't to get away from Hewlett Packard. every product i've got from them seems to be e-waste, and my last printer worked with some pretty expensive cartridges that didnt last long and worked awfully. I don't want that.
