I come before the Reddit hive mind humbled and seeking knowledge!

2022 Mazda 3 GT Sport, daily driver and driven to work ~13 hours previously, normal operation, started with app and no lights on the dash aside from tpms because snow tires don’t have sensors.

After my shift at work car would not start with app, frustrating but whatever, got to car, no start just one single click which *sounded* like a relay, not a starter click.

Lights normal and radio came on as normal, just like if you got in and tried to start it without pressing the brake pedal.

Brake pedal extremely firm, abnormally so in fact, only thing that stands out as odd.

Found a sympathetic co-worker, tried to boost it, same EXACT thing happens, he also has a voltage tester so measure voltage once hooked up, 13.x volts to my battery resulted in the same single click.

Internet search suggests battery which seems unlikely because the boost should have been sufficient, or starter motor failure, or brake pedal switch failure.

Anyone have a similar situation they’ve resolved and what their solution was or any other ideas that I can try before I start throwing money at it?

Thanks in advance!

Hey all, picked up my 2018 end of last season and prepping for the road.

She needs a new rear tire but it’s the standard model with spoked rims and I underestimated the rabbit hole of trying to find bias ply tube ready tires for it.

Anyone got any recommendations given the above criteria and/or do I just give the Shinko 777’s a shot since that’s how I’m leaning right now.

Thanks in advance!
