My picks are mainly separatist due to bias. I think Rocket B2s could give some decent verticality and firepower. Even a jump pack upgrade card to add to standard B2s could offer some mobility pressure on an opponent. Air Battle Droids can be an choice instead, but with melee capability with their wrist blades and personal shield.
Considering how the only big melee hitters are often named commanders and characters, I think Grapple Droids can be an alternative option for Magnas but with a more offensive purpose. They don't even have to be deadly but they can be bulky enough to tie down jedi and other melee units while other Separatist units do scoring or deal with other threats.
I think the Hailfire Droid can fit as a new vehicle. Its size can be scaled well for the game compared to the Homing Spider Droid, which would either be too tall and wide-set, or scaled down to the point it looks weird. Its role could be a quick glass cannon with its missiles and a serviceable mounted blaster. Something that's a threat to enemy vehicles and can punish clustering in the right circumstance.
The Octuptarra Tri-Droids can work as an alternative option to droidekas where they can act as mobile turrets with more precise fire and even deploying viruses against organics at close range like the dioxis mine for BXs. Obviously, the smaller variants are what I'm talking about. The big versions are even taller and wider than the Homing Spider. Unless the AT-AT is added, I don't see the big version coming.
With the upcoming air support, I think Tri-Fighters would be a good alternative option to Vultures. They have a nice, compact size and can work as a strafing unit that's more for taking down troops rather than vehicles.
My most crackpot choice are Buzz Droids. Their models can be like nurglings in a cluster and are specialized against vehicles. They're easy to take out, but are very fast and can wreak havoc on vehicles and even other droids when in range. Their little drills, saws, and plasma cutters can offer some melee damage to organics, but their niche is a vehicle counter or droid hunter. In fact, they can be an option for the Vulture's payload depending on how that works.
