Hey guys, recently I've decided to update Ubuntu on my Lenovo G505 which had 20.04 LTS (focal fossa) on it. In the middle of the 22.04 instalation though it has deactivated the wifi NIC and has halted the install.
I have tried to continue the installation using an ethernet cable, but it kept stopping due to driver issues regarding the wifi card.
I have since scrapped the idea of putting 22.04 on it and I have installed Mint 22.03 MATE in place of the ubuntu. The problem seems to persist tho.
lspci seems to recognize the card. Driver Manager has found a driver and has managed to successfully install it via ethernet. Still, every time I try to connect it to a wifi network, it says "ERROR: Device not found"
Any suggestions on what seems to be the solution?
Thanks in advance.
