I am planning to run my fourth road 100km at the end of June. I am currently looking for a new pair of shoes for training and race day. I used to work for one of the brands known for zero drop and wide toe boxes. I like shoes that allow for toe splay and zero to relatively low drops. While some runners like to change shoes at 50km or so, in the past I have found it better to stick with one pair from start to finish. I am currently thinking about the Mount to Coast R1 and the Topo Specter 2 and Magnify 6 for training and race day. Are there other shoes I should consider? Anything you'd stay away from? Why? Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise.
