I remember reading this short story about a future dystopia where men snd women have segregated. Men returned to the wilderness and women stayed in the cities with the technology. The protagonist calls her mother on the moon colony, and is asked when she’ll catch a good man. So she goes to hunt one down (apparently that’s the way to do it).

She sets up an ambush blind next to a campsite and waits for mr right to come along: it turns out to be this nerdy little guy instead of all the other loud musclemen.
