Clarification points:
- The whole plot was anywhere between a movie (1.5-2hr) and a miniseries of maybe 6 episodes at most. Art style was very grounded, I would compare to something like Ghost in the Shell.
- Mutants were about the size of a semi truck. Large, but not city-destroying
- Robotic suits were on the small size for the genre, generally standing only 6-8 feet tall
- Primary weapons were large canons carried by the suits. When fired, they would project a magic/runic pattern before discharge.
- The security team - I believe consisting of maybe 3-6 membera - would generally swoop in, kill the monster, then have a cleanup crew come after. This is noted after one encounter where a member of the cleanup crew comes in contact with mutant remains and transforms because of it.
- There was a fair bit of body horror/carnage in the initial transformation process. Not hyper grotesque, but you definitely saw a few people eaten through the whole plot.
- The plot climaxes with one of the security squad grieving the death of his wife to a monster attack. It's found out the head of the agency has a serum to cause mutations and has been staging attacks the whole time to get rich from the government hiring their services. The grieving squad member finds out and confronts the leader. It's a quiet closure ending with the boss arrogantly offering money, then being told simply "my wife was in the recent attack", then shot dead.
