Minimum required for investing and investing Vs mortgage overpayment

Trying to set up some long term financial security and looking for advice on what people think is a good starting amount for investing. I have zero experience with investing and have previously been pretty poor at saving. Places like MSE recommend having an emergency fund of 3 months outgoings easily accessible and I'm just now starting to build up some meager savings.

short summary:

30M homeowner with partner & 2 kids, 25 years left on 180k mortgage and 4 years on 10k personal loan

Monthly take home ~2.5k

Typical monthly outgoings ~2.2k

Current savings just over 1k

Would putting £200 a month into a global ETF be enough to build up a significant retirement pot or would the right move be overpaying on the mortgage for now, or should I be trying to pay off the loan early first? Do people tend to heed the advice and build up a 3 month (or more?) emergency fund prior to investing/overpaying mortgage?
