Hot and cold, confusing MMC makes FMC suffer
Apologies if there's been lots of requests for this trope. I searched "confusing", "hot and cold" but couldn't find what I was looking for.
Like the title says I'm looking for books where the MMC confuses the hell out of the FMC. I'm looking for something that sort of has a combination of any of these tropes:
MMC seems attracted to FMC and they have shared close moments that could be interpreted as romantic but nothing explicit was said/done by either party so there's always some plausible deniability
On MMC's part this might be because he sees FMC as a younger sister-type/sister-zoned/protege/mentee and/or he's in a relationship/married.
For FMC, she falls fast and falls hard. May not have known about MMC's relationship at first. Tries to move on, hides her feelings and accept her sister-zoning/friend status but is really struggling to cope, especially because MMC is/can be very supportive in a way that shows unique attention to fmc.
Basically I want to see the FMC struggle with the angst of trying to grow a backbone, be the better person, while constantly reliving those odd electric moments that keep happening
- Don't want to be too prescriptive but perhaps there's an element of FMC doing too good a job of being disinterested that MMC .
CR/HR all welcome. I tend not to like reading MMC POV's but this is not a deal breaker at all for me
