Question about my wife's Elderflower champagne attempt
Hi everyone!
Recently my girlfriend tried to make elderflower champagne and we have doubts on the result ...
Here's the process used : flowers, water and cane sugar + 4 days fermentations. Next filtering, bottling and then 3 more fermenting days. Finally we put it 24hrs in the fridge.
The result smells and tastes really good but has a ''syrup" viscosity to it (almost like egg whites) which we fear might make it not safe to drink... What do you guys think ? Is it typical or would i get poisonned if i drink it all to make her feel proud ?
Thanks for your help
