Memory / state management woes

Latest iOS and iPhone Pro 16, long-time happy customer.

Has anyone experienced that it seems native and third-party apps have to reload MORE OFTEN LATELY after switching to other apps, sometimes only for a few minutes, and then back to the app? I’m just surprised the apps aren’t remembering their state / current screens for very long as I’m sure the iOS is probably asking for the memory back, the apps are exiting focus as gracefully as they can, and in theory should remember to where the user left off, but not always.

Example: I could be drafting a LinkedIn post. I navigate away for a few minutes, and LinkedIn reloads, and my draft is gone.

Happens with many other apps too.

What else can I do better on my end other than reduce some of my context shifting?

I was using my paid subscription just fine until it brought me to login screen suddenly. I don’t remember creating one, as I used in app purchase with Apple. Usually apps have a restore purchases option, but I could not find one.

So then I did a second in app purchase as sometimes I’ve seen Apple recognize there’s already an active subscription, but I got charged twice.

Anyone run into this and have a solution? This time I made sure to create an account and store the login info.
