Part 2: 1976 Le Mans Porsche 934 RSR

Part 2 of the LEGO Porsche 934 RSR series, built with LEGO pieces, inspired by classic endurance racing, Le Mans history, and period-correct Porsche motorsport design.

This time the model really starts getting shape, the blue rear bumper goes on, the roof line comes together, and the iconic front bumper is finally installed.

This particular Porsche 934 RSR raced at the 1976 Le Mans 24 Hours, and recreating those classic racing details in LEGO has been one of the most satisfying parts of this build so far.

The silhouette is starting to look unmistakably Porsche, stay tuned for the final!

First steps of bringing the new LEGO Porsche 934 RSR to life.
In this episode I’m installing the lollipop race seat, dashboard including 5 gauges, and the decklid - slowly turning this classic turbocharged race car into a proper representation in brick form.

All period-correct and based on the 70s endurance racing, Group 4, and of course the iconic Porsche racing heritage. Every detail matters when building a custom Porsche model, especially on a car as legendary as the 934 RSR.

More updates, details, bodywork and race-spec parts in the next video, stay tuned!

Always improving… As I mentioned in an earlier reel, the decklid of my 934 RSRs was pointing upwards a tad too much for my liking, so I set out to rework my last iteration.

The sloped air vents of the early gen 930 and thus the 934 make it difficult to get the structure sturdy enough while simultaneously keep that slim look and feel of the real life wing.

But after some elevated hours I have made the next gen; sturdy as before, slim like in real life. I was even able to add in that typical flare into the wing, as close as possible to the source material.

Cheers!
