i took my dog to get a haircut, after a couple of days she had little bumps along her back. i thought it was a tick so i picked at it but it looked like a scab trying to heal so i left it alone.
she wasn’t scratching, licking or biting so i thought it would heal on its own…
i reached to pet her and i noticed she had a lot on her neck as well! it wasn’t noticeable at first since her fur covered the bumps but now they were dry scabs and dark.
i took her sweater off and i noticed sooo many… i starting going through her hair and some of them came off. like they were just hanging off a hair. i showered her and as soon as her fur got wet everything got exposed. i was hoping they would come off while i brushed her hair but they didn’t & i don’t want to pick at it incase it’s leaving open skin.
i feel so bad i hope she’s not feeling any pain.
i hope it’s nothing serious im heading to the groomers for answers tomorrow since they are closed for the night.
anyone has gone through this ? or familiar with what it could be? (they are not fleas or eggs)
