I have been here since the og Creator Fund program and i've seen it all. Additional rewards update is the worst thing to have happened to TikTok. Before all of this, you could had 0.5-1$ sustainable rpm with all country views being qualified, it was not the most but it was peaceful and perfect, you knew what you're gonna get each time. And now it's a full gambling system. They don't tell you what kind of videos qualify for additional rewards, "high watch time" videos sometimes don't qualify but low watch time do which is fully confusing. If you don't get additional rewards you basically end up with a 0.07-0.1$ rpm which makes it pointless to upload. You get demotivated and have no will to create content like this. And even if you somehow get additional rewards, only qualified countries views count, what if i get only 20% qualified countries views? That makes my video bad? Unable to earn? Wtf, multi billion dollar company competing with YouTube can't seem to pay their content creators right. Wtf even is "additional rewards"? Why the hell do we need an additional rewards gamble system which makes it really demotivating to post not knowing if my next video is gonna earn money or its just gonna waste my time. If this doesn't change I really don't see how tiktok monetization system will exist. Personally i'm fully demotivated and looking for other ways to monetize my content on other platforms. If you are a content creator please make your voice heard, make some noise and push for a change. Let's pray they get some sense in their head and respect their content creators for once in their life.
