The Complete Guide to an ENTP.
This is a complete guide to the ENTP personality type, Hope this helps for people trying to find their type or for any other reason.
ENTPs are Analytics that are, Extraverted, Intuitive, Logical And Procrastinating. What does any of this mean? To Dive further the single "letter typing" won't guide us any further into the discovery of the Psychology behind ENTPs, So Let's Explore further than just its 4 letters.
ENTP(Ego) : Ne-Ti-Fe-Si / ISFJ (Subconscious) : Si-Fe-Ti-Ne
INTJ (Unconscious) : Ni-Te-Fi-Se / ESFP (Superego) : Se-Fi-Te-NI
What does this really mean? Well of course we know about the cognitive functions what we have to understand is that we have all 8 cognitive functions no matter our MBTI, But The Topic of What our MBTI is, is driven by the description of which 4 functions are more primary or more dominant in our stack and slot of our mind. We have to realize that inside just of us there are 4 different personalities and this only which cover every single function from a different order or standpoint. We are more comfortable from our Ego and this is where we operate most of our time. For ENTPs it's obviously their ENTP ego, but how do we really use our cognitive functions? is it just like we decide which one to use? not precisely. Infact all of our functions are being used by the second. it's like a Radio Receiving and Sending Frequencies at different levels Based on the position. For example for ENTPs their Ne (Hero Function) Runs on the Highest Frequency And Their Se (Demon Function) Runs on the lowest, that means when they receive an information, a response or observe something it is first their Hero Function that Runs they process and Perceive it with their Ne and the process goes on with other Functions following afterwards.
Ne/Si-Ni/Se (Or the other way around) Functions are the Perceiving Functions. They Help the User understand and "Perceive" the world and their surroundings.
Fe/Ti-Fi-Te (Or the other way Around) Functions are the Judgmental Functions, which are also used when making decisions. So in a hypothetical situation in most cases an ENTP would observe and Perceive information with their Ne and Make Decisions with their Ti, and then the processing goes on with them Judging with their Fe and Perceiving with Si and ....
But it isn't that simple or repetitive, that's why there are sides of the mind. Ever wonder why you feel like sometimes you feel extraverted while other times you are an Introvert? sometimes you are very logical and decisive while other times you are emotional? Well no it's not a letter changing, ***You CANNOT Change what your Ego was since birth, you are Simply Changing your shift and focus of your Mind.***
An ENTP is in Heart Temple 💖, Surrounded by Other types like INTJ, ESFP, and ISFJ. So really an ENTP is either in their ego, unconscious (INTJ), Subconscious (ISFJ), or Super ego (ESFP). So let's say when as an ENTP you are usually an Extravert (in your ego) You suddenly feel introverted, you have either shifted in your subconscious (ISFJ) or Unconscious (INTJ). No you did not become an INTP, as they are in a completely different temple and it would be impossible on a cognitive aspect wise, it's just you shifting your focus on a different arrangement of functions. Your MBTI didn't change you are still your type, just temporarily you are focusing on that side. The goal of life is to eventually balance all of this and live in harmony with your Duality aspect of your soul.
Based on Linda Beren's Interaction Styles : ENTPs are : Initiating, Informative, Movement (Starter Type) - Systematic, Pragmatic And Abstract.
Initiating Means ENTPs feel more comfortable Initiating or Starting a Conversation with someone, they have a hard time responding or they feel uncomfortable in doing so as it would usually drive them to a side of their mind which is Responding, This trait of being Initiating is what makes them an Extravert.
They are Informative, Meaning they can't really speak to the point or get their whole point across, hell look at me writing all this information, Direct types on the other hand don't yap as much and just talk very short and to the point, often appearing commanding, while Informative types appear more of a "victim" tone.
They are Movement, meaning they are very fast with what they do, they prioritize speed over efficiency, fast with most of their activities and prioritize Progress very very much. The opposing interaction style is Controlling, which they are slower but more precise, they take their time, pinpointing down one single outcome while all movement types want is just progress and moving forward. They like chaos as it gets them moving and if they get still or not make progress it drives them crazy.
Starter Type : Includes -- ENTP, ENFP, ESFJ, ESFP : The Starter Types are All about starting, they Start up stuff but usually have a hard time finishing. They usually start up something but leave it on blank unable to finish. a Good example or should I say more bad is Adolf Hitler who is an ENTP, who practically started WW2...So yeah don't go that far. Each one of these are Initiating, Movement and Responding, but the way we differ them is are they, An Intellectual (ENTP), an Idealist (ENFP), a Guardian (ESFJ) or an Artisan (ESFP) or you can use more of the Interaction styles which I'll explain coming up.
Intellectuals : Future Based Thinkers, all about what is going on in the future and the what if. People also call them the Thinkers or Analytics, they are basically the NT Types, all systematic, Pragmatic and Abstract. They are usually the inventors as they focus on creating or inventing stuff that isn't bound to reality yet and is tend to change the future.
Systematic : made a post on this explaining further but basically systematic types have to put everything in a framework for it to work, and everything has to make sense of them, rather than questioning why someone might do something (Their motives) systematic people question how the system they work under operates in the first place. Systematic types obviously always move on a system they created or they choose to follow.
Pragmatic : They are practical, caring about what works, rather than what is right. They are also more independent choosing to do what works on them and can do individual work better in general.
Abstract : This differs the N and S types, basically HOW They perceive the world other than their Perceiving functions of course, N types focus on what if, and stuff that are more complex and abstract, while S Types focus on concrete stuff and what is currently going on right now in reality. They don't like the idea of abstract stuff as it is something that might not even happen or be true.
How do ENTPs connect to this? ENTP's bestfriends or the people they get along best are NTJs, And Their Interaction style is Direct, so ENTPs prefer while they are informative, they rather someone else "Directs" them or the conversation and is very straight to the point, they also like when people tell them what to do with their Si inferior, as this function is all about what should be done, and Se types are all focused on telling people what they should be doing.
ENTP's Si Inferior is underdeveloped compared to other functions in the ego, it is also the place of fear, they fear of not being strong or resilient enough or experiencing something for the first time being sensitive about it and not being comfortable. Their Fe Child wants to give everybody balloons and candies and makes them happy as it is the Innocent function. Their Ti Parent is extremely responsible, when they come up with an Idea or theory they have to prove it, or other wise it is not valid enough, which forces them to go into their INTJ unconscious and use Te parent to gather enough evidence to prove they are right (If they have a Te user working with them, they might do the job instead.) Their Ne hero is alwaysr unning and aware, they are good at predicting and they are all about the collective unconscious and what others want. Ni is one's desire and wanting, and Ne is The Collective will, so a good match for an ENTP would be someone with a strong Ni so they can guide the Ni user to the path they want. Ne is also filled with knowledge about Metaphysics, Possibilities and Quantum Physics and Such.
Ne and Fe are Optimistic Functions alongside, Ni and Fi. Meaning the ENTP is more optimistic towards these functions. While Ti, Si, Te and Se are Pessimistic meaning it is negative.
Forexample an Optimistic Ne hero would always think of the Good things that might happen in the future and the bright side of things on what might happen, while Their Ti parent, always automatically assumes what they might think is wrong and is very strict towards it causing them to think deeper to prove it and question it harder.
Ni Nemesis, although optimistic, is a place of worry, and ENTP worries that their own future or the things they want might actually not be the right thing, or they make the wrong choice. The Demon functions Se is a place of Corruption and Negativity, they are generally negative to other people's comfort or the experience others receive.
The goal is to advance all 4 Sides to harmony so we get over our Fears, Negativity and worry.
Te Critic of the ENTP is critical towards what others think, when others say something against them they automatically assume others are wrong, but as time goes on and they think with their own Ti parent they might realize they are the ones in wrong.
The Fi Trickster, is not aware of its values or identity, this causes very heavy identity crisis in ENTPs, as they aren't able to Identify themselves, express themselves or share their liking. They also do not care about good or bad or believe it doesn't exist just like I do :)
ENTPs aspire to become their ISFJ subconscious, strong and resilient people also considered knights to overcome anything, which grows even more in their adulthood.
The ESFP super ego can be very traumatizing if not mastered an example is Joker, who shifted to an ESFP super ego, and Became the "Entertainer" or "Performer" which danced on as the he basically wanted to burn the world down with Se Demon.
Why are Same Types Different? It is because of the focus, for example if you were raised in an environment where your ego wasn't accepted by the people around them you might have shifted into your unconscious (INTJ) making you a UD (Unconscious Developed) As your development stages of life you were in your unconscious, but if you were naturally aspiring your nature, you might have been a SD (Subconscious Developed) then there is your focus afterwards in life UF or SF, which changes and shifts as the mind usually tends to be in the subconscious. That's why two ENTPs might seem completely different. This concept is the Octagram.
Being in heart temple focuses on Ni and Fe, mostly Freedom and Connection.
ENTPs are one of the rarest type by some statistics even considered The Rarest type but there is no real answer.
Sorry for the long yap, sorry if I made any grammar or spelling mistakes or any of that, I didn't reread it.
