A question about powders
Hi,
So I have tried a few different nail dipping products, first was a do it at home SNS product, I cannot remember the name as it was many years ago, it was back when SNS was still pretty new and everyone raved about it. I found it not as easy to apply as it looked and was advertised and it was all round frustrating, all the liquids got gummed up pretty quick and it was so hard to remove, so I gave that up and just got it salon done.
I hate going to the salon so next I tried SistaCo, the colours and powders were so pretty and it promised to be less messy and much easier than SNS, also not as thick, as that was the other thing I hated about SNS. This was better but, I always got it in the crease between my nail and the skin so it would peel off pretty quick and I really don't enjoy the curing lamp, it never feels like all my nails fit under there and I end up with a sticky thumb or little finger.
I have just gotten myself a GlamorDip starter kit. I was drawn to this one because there is no curing so fingers crossed, literally, that I like this one.
Anyway, sorry for rambling on, I was looking at the colours I ordered and I suddenly wondered, can I use the powders that I have left from the other systems with this system? Mostly the SistaCo powders, because they are so pretty and I really want to use them. Would they be ok with the liquids that GlamorDip uses or is it all really different and I might like melt my nails off or something? Would it be safe to try? What do I need to look at to find out? I am pretty sure I can find out the ingredients on the SistaCo powders and see if they have the same kind of stuff in them. SistaCo is sold as a mineral powder so I am not sure if its the same thing, although the process of applying it is almost the same and I am pretty sure the curing was just to set the gloss coat.
TL:DR Can I use SistaCo powder with the GlamorDip liquids? I want to use the colours I own but I'm not crazy about the SistaCo system because I dislike UV Curing.
