I play at a nice new facility that has no AC system now, but I’m wondering how bad it will get when the scorching summer heat arrives next month. I’m wondering if the new folks I started playing with recently will prefer to play outside instead? Or find a way to survive the hot temperatures indoors without AC. I also wonder if the facility will lose members because of this imminent change of temperature this summer. The heat can affect both vision from sweating too much and possibly moist building up on the court surface from sweat hitting the ground… ok, TMI!
I don’t see or hear plans of them adding an AC system to facility soon, the cost of adding AC system to a 140,000 sft space will also be astronomical.
I’m in the Midwest, and summers here can easily be in the 90’s on and off from May to early fall. Hoping it doesn’t feel like an oven at the facility this summer and hope to not get exhausted too fast during play time. And yes… no fans in the ceiling.
