I leave for the beach tomorrow. Technically my refill is not until next week on the 7th.
The last 2 weeks, I hit up my insurance company for approval (done - they told me I could renew on 5/1), went to the pharmacy directly to make sure if I need to do anything with them, I called my doctor who said she called the pharmacy directly to confirm the request and that I just needed to go to the pharmacy to initiate the refill on 5/1.
I go to the pharmacy, the tech says OK, I leave and get a phone call 5 min late from the pharmacist who says they can’t fill it, they said need doc approval, I tell them she already called, they say that “the pharmacist on duty that day must’ve not put a note in the system”. Seriously?
I started this process two weeks ago and made sure I did everything right and it still didn’t pan out.
Even at my last follow-up in March, I asked my doctor about an early refill request. Ugh. Her office did tell me if I run into issues to hit them up, which I did, but it’s noon where I’m at, so I’m guessing they’re at lunch.
