Hey everyone. I am traveling to Florida for a cruise but want to do a theme park day prior to embarking. Only parks I am interested in are Epcot or Universal/Islands of Adventure (park to park for this one of course)

Background: Im a 26F planning for mid-June (on a Saturday no less). I’ll only have one day, and realistically I can do about 5–8 hours max in Florida summer heat before I tap out. I’m staying off-site, so once I leave, I’m DONE for the day/no going back in so I wanna make the most of the day while I’m there.

Context:
- I’ve already done Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure (and Volcano Bay), haven’t been back in a while though
- Never been to Epcot
- No kids, just me.
- Fair physical fitness
- Undecided on express passes but will definitely utilize single rider lines
- Counting just base line stuff for both, Universal would be more expensive

I’m kinda… aging out of the super intense rides lol. Not scared, just less interested than I used to be in super fast and super high. Still will probably do a couple but doesn’t tip the scale much for me.

I don’t want to feel rushed or like I missed a ton since I’m only there for a day.
Right now I’m leaning Epcot. It seems more my speed right now … walk around, snack, drink around the world, hit a few rides, vibe

My concern with Universal is: even with Express, is it still too much park for a ~6-8 hour day?

My concern with Epcot is: will I be bored if I’m solo, or is there enough to comfortably fill that time without feeling like I’m just wandering?

Which one feels more worth it given I’ve already done Universal before? And realistically… which one is just a better birthday vibe?

My boyfriend and I both got the day off. We work alternate schedules so it’s super rare to be off on the same day & even MORE rare for it to be a weekday. We decided to do a bit of shopping and maybe catch a happy hour somewhere.

Any happy hour recommendations for today (Wednesday) ? Preferably in Baton Rouge proper since we live on opposite sides of town but willing to travel a bit if it’s worth it.
