Im building a boost converter for an audio circuit that draws around 17mA at 30VDC. When choosing the inductor and capacitor values, should I go with the actual current draw of 17mA or should I double it to around 34mA to add a safety buffer?
My concern with using a higher output current for the design is that I dont want my converter to go into discontinuous conduction mode when Im only drawing half the design current.
