Cortisone injections?
Hi all, im 27f and have both rhumatoid and osteoarthritis. I've had a left knee arthroscopy in January and having an mri on Monday on the other knee after asking if they could do the surgery on the right knee as well. They said they can only do it if theres enough damage like the left, otherwise they will try cortisone injections first.
Is anyone on these? How are they? I've read that they damage your cartilage long term. So is this basically a way or creating more damage over time to then have surgery?
Honestly hoping theres already enough damage for surgery as id rather that than injections. Would Honestly be surprised is there wasn't tbh
