Hey everyone,
I’m stuck in a bit of an EPF loop and need some advice from anyone who has successfully navigated the "Field Officer" route.
The Situation:
- I have two UANs. My current one is perfectly active and KYC-compliant.
- My first UAN (from 2010) is the problem. It does not have Aadhaar seeded.
- My first employer is long gone—the company is officially closed/defunct.
The Problem:
When I try to log in to the old UAN portal to link my Aadhaar or initiate a transfer, I get the error: "Aadhaar is not seeded. Contact employer or EPFO Field Officer." Since there is no employer to sign off on the KYC, I’m stuck.
My Questions:
1. Since the company is closed, how do I get my Aadhaar seeded so I can merge this with my current UAN?
Has anyone successfully used Form 13 (offline) or the Joint Declaration Form in this scenario?
How do I actually find and approach the right "Field Officer"? Do I just show up at the EPFO office?
What documents will I need to prove my identity and previous employment since the company can't verify me?
Appreciate any leads or "hacks" to get this sorted without losing my mind in govt offices!
