[CT] Federal FMLA and CT FMLA when changing companies - is it every reported to the government?
First off - I fully understand the limitations of protections under FMLA and all the ways someone could still get terminated regardless, so no need to specify that. I also understand the limits on eligibility under each of the federal and CT programs. My question is, if I take leave at my current job for parental leave, does that ever get reported externally to the government? If I change jobs, and am eligible for FMLA time off in my new job (after the thresholds of time worked there have been met, I understand that) will they ever know that I took FMLA at my prior job? Can I just take the max time allowed once again for the same reason (birth of a child within 1 year), and they'll never know that I did this at a previous job already?
