Flydigi Direwolf 4: how to calibrate and test gyro? Why Steam does not give me the option to calibrate it?
Hello everybody, greetings from Italy.
Yesterday I received by mail my new Flydigi Direwolf 4.
The first thing I did was downloading its game center: Flydigi Space (version 4.1.4.0) in order to update and test the controller.
After updating I actually have what is shown on the image:
Controller Version 7.2.4.0
Dongle Versione 0.6.0.3
SI Version 2.4.0.7
Do you all have these versions as the latest?
I'm asking because I've read that sometimes the update option is not working correctly if the english language is selected. To me it worked (in english) and turning to chinese (first lan
guage under english i presume) didn't get me anywhere.
What does SI stand for?
My problem is with the built-in gyro.
I tried to test it but it was almost impossibile to be used.
When I switched to mouse mode (within the game center), even if I was keeping the controller on a flat surface, it made the pointer jump to the right side.
To recover the center of the screen I almost had to twist the controller upside down, and trying to move the pointer in an effective way was almost impossibile.
It was also shaking as if it felt extremly cold. 😅
I've read that there is a buttons combination to be pressed at ance while the controller is resting on a flat surface, in order to calibrate it in "hardware mode"?
Is it correct?
Does anybody know what this combination is?
I've also read that there is a software calibration option available on Steam, under the Controller menu, but going in the right menu place I couldn't find it. It was missing as if the controller didn't have any gyro at all...
Do you have this option available with your Digiwolf 4 or is it normal that it's missing with some models or brands?
To conclude, I'm afraid that the gyro on my controller is not working properly (would like to understand if it is so within the return period), so i would like to calibrate it and test it properly: all your help regarding these things is very welcome. 😀
