What can I do against a crazy strong beat-flecher?
TL;DR: How can I beat a fencer that muscles out my attempts to disengage and my beats my blade so hard I can’t parry fast enough?
So today at practice I went up against this one guy that I usually beat, but honestly he got better so I feel like I also need to get better. But basically: all he does it beat flèche or stiff arm parry, but he’s exceptionally strong, like even when i have more leverage he’s able to muscle it out and I can’t take the blade when I’m initiating an attack. He doesn’t fall for baits for the flèche, and when he does go I’m in already a terrible position. even if I disengage he seems to already be able to parry the crap out of my blade even if I got him to fall for it. I honestly don’t know what to make of it and I’m at a loss. If anyone could provide any assistance tha would be really appreciated.
